Jenkins, the oldest of five children, was born on April 13, 1983 to Larry Stuart and Leslie Thompson Jenkins in Provo, Utah. After a brief move to Dallas, Texas where he father completed his doctorate, Jenkins and her family returned to their native state, moving to Bountiful, Utah.
